Sasha was born the eldest of 5 siblings, with parents who were both creatives. She experienced her primitive years in Guam, speaking Chamorro and Spanish, embracing the island culture. Growing up, she moved around the globe, voyaging from Barcelona to the East Coast in the US, with a place to call home in the Virgin Islands and Santiago in Veraguas, Panama where her family still embeds history.
Sasha's work embraces concepts such as escapism and environmentalism, while remaining conscious of color and femininity. As a multidisciplinary artist, her mixed media montages are sourced from her own paintings and photography, inspiration from vtg textiles and patterns, and 70's sci fi art / film. Her canvas paintings are primarily focused on abstract expressionism, pulling inspiration from nature, textures and admired designers. Her work is congruous with expressiveness found in cities and cultures she's experienced in life.
